LANDSCAPE PAINTING

The inspiration behind these landscape painting was of the wild flowers i'd seen at Mt. Rainier National Park that summer. The flowers were of so many to colours and actually behind the hills are little pools of glacial water! I used oil pastel to make to path, flowers and hills, but used a light wash of watercolor for background, All done on coarse watercolor paper.

VISUAL DIARY

At home, all my family member ( Mom, Dad, my little brother and I ) keep visual diary EVERYDAY since 2017. We doodle, draw, paint at least one page, we pick all the topics, sometimes life skectch, sometime imaginary things, or anything impressed us. From example, there is one self portrait with covid mask, or the fashion/hair styling ideas from that day :) These examples come from my dairy book in jan.2022.

COLOUR EXPERIMENTS

I remember the days when my parent took me with them on trips to Japan and Switzerland, where i saw the works from Yayoi Kusama and Paul Klee, In my family, I was always encouraged to play with visual elements without to be too realistic, I really enjoy to play the colors with simple forms and pattern.

PORTRAIT SKETCHES

These portrait sketches were made in my mom's art class. I like to draw people! As I study using different shades of gray to create light and shadow, depth and space, at same time I enjoy to illustrate people and their facial expression with different tools. For most I sketched with pencil, on white paper others i sketched with white pastel on black paper.

DREAMLAND

wet watercolor and Pastel, it is relaxing and entertaining to paint with lot of water and fluid pigment, or straching the paper with blocks of pastel wax. These blurred and dreamy scenes can only be created without muscle and brain tension :)
